The Story Behind EcoAge Technologies

In the early part of this decade, the seeds of EcoAge Technologies were sown in the mind of its founder. After witnessing the successes of the economies of northern and western Europe, there was little doubt that eventually, those successes would be replicated and surpassed here in Canada. After countries such as Denmark and Spain adopted programs to produce electricity using wind, and after Germany pushed hard into the solar, wind and biomass industries simultaneously, their successes included creating hundreds of thousands of jobs, billions of dollars of market share, and a lasting legacy as the first nations to start decreasing their use of fossil fuels as main energy sources.
Canada is blessed with not only a beautiful landscape, but vast natural resources. Among the commodities we have grown used to having in near-unlimited supply are crops, water, minerals, timber, and oil. Unfortunately for many other nations of the world, their conventional supplies of the same materials either never existed, or have dwindled to nearly nothing. What does this mean for us, and for the planet? Some think it means Canadians will grow rich by selling what is left. Assuming the world market for commodities remains free and open, rather than being taken over by the economies with the largest militaries, Canada stands in a fantastic position to become even more prosperous than we are now. But is this really a sustainable solution?
In parts of Canada, real progress is being made. It gets easier every year to take advantage of our staggering renewable energy potential. By demanding in your own Province that laws be passed which will enable renewable energy industries to be created, you can help ensure that Canada will prosper not only in the short term, but forever. Take time to learn about Ontario’s Green Energy Act. Read about the Feed-In-Tariff Program. These are newly-launched initiatives that seek to address not only climate change problems, but social and economic problems as well. In a time when many of Canada’s conventional industries are disappearing, renewable energy can be our point of shining pride. We already have the manpower, the natural resources, and the research base to propel ourselves far ahead and into first place as the world’s supplier of renewable energy technologies. By enabling a reasonable rate of return for those who invest in renewable energy systems, the programs being put into place right now will drive innovation and cost reductions in the long run, making renewable energy very affordable for everyone.
